what a nice idea to upcycle car tires into a bike stand! how did i never see this great fit? (thx, fernanda!)

really looking forward to my month-long trip to india (leaving in two weeks)! will especially be looking out for jugaad solutions incorporating upcycling – always impressed by the ingenuity of people making things work!

game change rio: this is how we should get people to care about something as important while at the same time so boring sounding as rio+20: appealing to the part of us that seeks fun and interactivity!

awesome initative, and the best player even wins a trip to rio!

tolles video der klares licht kampagne! gute infos, und ästhetisch ansprechend. anschaun und dann hoffentlich auf LEDs umsteigen! und natürlich auf facebook connecten!

what design can do 2012

attended the amazing what design can do conference at the beautiful stadsschouwburg in amsterdam last week. amazingly inspiring conference, wonderful people to meet, quite a few great speakers, fun and interactive breakout sessions, absolutely smooth organization, and a pretty good afterparty in the end!
i made a storify from the #WDCD tweets, reflecting my personal view on the conference!

don’t walk behind me; i may not lead. don’t walk in front of me; i may not follow. just walk beside me and be my friend.

albert camus (thx, philipp!)

time to connect the dots!

tomorrow on saturday, may 5, the silent climate parade joins forces with tar sands activists in berlin to protest against the catastrophic environmental destruction shown in this shocking (but great) video!

all around the world people are organizing events on the 350.org climate impacts day to connect the dots between climate change and the dramatic spike in extreme weather events: www.climatedots.org

join us: Das TEERSANDÖL kommt! – alexanderplatz, 11:30

i never wanted anything nice that doesn’t fit into a suitcase.
